Martha Finley is an author of the late 1800′s and early 1900′s. For over forty years she sold more books than any other juvenile author, besides Louisa May Alcott. Due to her Christian principles and unwavering desirer to spur people on to Jesus, her literature has been widely ignored. She published over 90 books in her total carrier.
She is most well known for her book series “The Elsie Dinsmore Books.” 63 editions of this book series has have been published from 1867 until 2006. They have been translated into 3 different languages, and are held by over 900 libraries worldwide.
